3 Ways Veneers Can Help You Build Confidence in Your Smile

Having beautiful teeth is an important part of feeling attractive and confident, especially in today’s digital media and social media culture. If you take a lot of photos, you probably would like to be able to smile big and bright, showing off your teeth. Many people, however, develop stains and chips on their teeth that make them feel they’re not very attractive. Veneers can help restore your smile!

What are veneers?

Veneers are a form of cosmetic dentistry that uses a thin layer of material to cover just the surface of your teeth. This layer of material, sometimes referred to as a shell, is customized to fit the shape and match the color of your teeth. These shells are bonded to your teeth, and can cover up a number of tooth problems, such as gaps, discoloration, chips, and large fillings. This improves your smile and allows you to feel confident about showing your teeth.

How can veneers help me?

Veneers can help you by correcting any cosmetic tooth problems you have, improving your smile and allowing you to feel confident in your teeth. Whether you have large gaps between your teeth, your teeth have become chipped or discolored over time, or you have large, ugly fillings, veneers can help.

Here are three ways that veneers can help you build confidence in your smile:

Another benefit is their durability: Properly cared for, veneers can last as long as 15 years before needing to be replaced.

What is the procedure for getting veneers?

Dr. Baek at Healthy Smile Dental works with you to make the veneer process as easy and as quick as possible. In just a few appointments, your veneers are ready and installed.

During your first appointment, she performs a dental exam to determine if you’re a good candidate for veneers. Dr. Baek may take X-rays or impressions of your teeth to ensure that your veneers fit perfectly. A lab uses the information to make your veneers.

At your next visit, she removes a small amount of enamel from your teeth to allow the veneers to attach. After a few weeks to allow for their manufacture, the veneers are ready to be placed on your teeth. Your teeth are cleaned and polished, and you’re ready to show off your smile!
